Need to know tips

With so many deals and coupons it's hard to tell what to do and what is legal.  I believe in FAIR couponing.  I do not do any type of coupon fraud and believe it is completely wrong to do so.  There are so many good deals that being fraudulent makes couponing pointless, plus it could affect our deal and make policies stricter.  That being said there are plenty of fair and completely legal "tricks".

READ ALL COUPONS: You don't have to go by the picture and a lot of the time the picture can be deceiving.  Some coupon will have size limits or will say excludes trial or travel sizes, but a lot of them won't.  So if a coupon say ANY and has no restrictions that's ALWAYS good.  Example Degree Deodorant had a coupon a little while ago that says a 1.00 off ANY Degree deodorant that means, travel sizes included. (Most of the time its better to get small sizes if it applies, because you will get a better price) They are only a $1.00 at CVS or at Walmart they were $.97 which leads me to the next "trick".

OVERAGE: Walmart is GREAT for overage.  In the example above if you buy the travel size Degree at Walmart for .97 cents use you 1.00 off you would get $.03 back or even better apply that to another purchase, such as meat or veggies.  Walmart will actually give you money back, but not all stores will. Kroger's will do overage but won't give you money back, so you can again apply it to meat or veggies. Stuff that is hard to get a coupon for. Other stores like CVS, Target or VG's will adjust the coupon down to the price of the product.

STACKING: A great way to get the best price is stacking.  Stacking is when you use a manufacturer coupon WITH a store coupon. Like in this picture. (This is just to show that they can be stacked I know the Target coupon is expired) Target is a great place to stack and so is Meijer.

BUY ONE GET ONE FREE: I was so excited when I found this out! If you have a coupon that is buy one get one free and the sale is buy one get one free BOTH are free!! If its not on buy one get one free in the sale paper you can sometimes use an additional coupon. This gets REALLY confusing so go to Discount Queens for a better explanation. Always double check at a blog you trust or Babycenter's Coupon Newbies.

DOUBLING: Knowing what stores double and to how much is very important.  I only know about my local stores, all stores are different so ask your local store for their coupon policy. Locally my Kroger doubles 3 like coupons up to .50 cents per transaction.  VG's doubles 3 like coupons up to a dollar per transaction per day.  Meijer doubles 2 like coupons up to .50 cents per transaction.

I am sure there is more tips and tricks I will let you know as soon as I think of them!
